Air travellers should take the U2 to the main train station (“Hauptbahnhof”) and change there on to the U1 for the exhibition centre. Your admission ticket is also valid on the printed expo days as a travel pass on all public transport in the Transport for Greater Nuremberg (VGN) network (regional passenger rail services: 2nd class, trains without supplement) in the 100/200 tariff zones (Nuremberg, Fürth, Stein).
As a central transport hub in southern Germany, Nuremberg is easily accessible by rail via many regional and national rail links. This includes fast and direct ICE connections from Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich, Leipzig, Berlin, Hamburg and elsewhere.
The fair grounds can be easily reached from the main train station via the metro (U1 line, direction “Messe”). Your admission ticket is also valid as a ticket on all VGN means of transport (SPNV: 2nd class, surchargefree trains) in the tariff zones 100/200 (Nuremberg, Fürth, Stein) on the days of the event printed on the ticket.
You can also benefit from Deutsche Bahn’s best-price offer for trains. Book the event ticket, from any DB train station, starting at 49.50 Euro (2nd class, one-way, with train connection, City Ticket included). Subject to availability.
Metro line U1 takes you directly to the exhibition centre. The metro station for the expo (“Messe”) is located right across from Entrance Mitte. Air travellers should take the U2 to the main train station (“Hauptbahnhof”) and change there on to the U1 for the exhibition centre.
