Stefan Meyer of retail consulting firm Handelsberatung Steffens will reveal what is on-trend for 2020 and what retailers can do to raise their profile. Constantin Hatz will then focus on the purchasing of school backpacks. The managing director of the family-run PapierFischer business will show retailers how they can stand out by offering good advice and ensure they are best placed for back-to-school success!

That is why everything will revolve around successful selling on the Saturday. Jörg Winter has been coaching companies for 30 years and knows what they need to do to ensure success and high sales. Using concrete examples of successful retailers, Winter will provide practical tips on boosting sales in his talk whilst highlighting “no-gos” at the point of sale.
The use of social media has become indispensable in the retail landscape. After all, over 50% of the German population can be reached via YouTube and 80% of Instagram users follow a company. As a result, this important topic will be featured on all three days of the programme. Nico Wutschijewitsch is CEO of digital marketing agency Effektiv and has more than 10 years’ experience in the stationery sector. In his talk, he will provide key insights, hands-on tips and approaches to social media and show how to build bridges to e-commerce.

The new presentation format – InsightsTalks – will give retailers and buyers new ideas and information on current retail topics. InsightsTalks will take place from Thursday to Saturday, 11:30 am to 1 pm, at the InsightsArena in Hall 3C and will be simultaneously interpreted so that the speakers can be understood in German and English.
